ISRO Leverages Advanced Technology in Space

Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, has said about ISRO’s recent leverage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in space-related activities. Over the past three years, ISRO has actively incorporated these cutting-edge technologies, keeping pace with rapid advancements, Singh stated.

AI and Machine Learning are now integral to various aspects within ISRO, from launch vehicles and spacecraft operations to big data analytics, space robotics, and citizen-centric e-governance solutions. Singh mentioned these advancements in response to a query raised in the Rajya Sabha.

Singh emphasized ongoing projects in AI under the Department of Space, ranging from feasibility studies to implementation. Collaborative efforts with esteemed institutions like IITs and IISc are nurturing specialized AI applications, he noted.
