New R&D Centre for Credent

The new centre will focus on location-based business services through the development of the company’s flagship software Omni, and on applications for public safety and security.

Love said Credent is also looking into new applications for its airborne data collection techniques.

He said that research for the Omni range of products will focus on wireless technology ‘to accommodate difficult applications such as tracking assets that move between outdoor and indoor locations’.

The company sees the launch of Credent Advanced Technologies is a significant step. It was once best known as the local distributor of Intergraph technology.
