Tom Sawyer Software Releases Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 3.0

In response to growing demand in the market for building more advanced visual data analysis applications, Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 3.0, introduces the foundational architecture for agile expansion in future releases. This release includes the first of a series of new features to help organizations go beyond pure data visualization. With key new features such as the Resource Description Framework (RDF) data integrator and Social Network Analysis (SNA) capabilities, users can quickly build advanced visual data analysis applications that involve larger, more complex, and disparate data sets. This release is focused on enabling the end-user to visually analyze very large data sets faster and more intuitively.

The new RDF data integrator is available as part of the data and model integration capabilities in Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 3.0. This feature is targeted at organizations that are building visual data analysis applications using RDF data sources as part of their semantic web initiatives or as part of their composite data suite for social network analysis. The SNA feature is designed to enable organizations to tightly integrate sophisticated centrality analysis capabilities into their visual data analysis applications.

“For the last few years, we have seen a growing demand from organizations needing to leverage their data assets for quickly building more sophisticated applications that go beyond simple data visualization. There has been an increasing emphasis on applications requiring tighter integration of social network analysis functions with advanced visualization across a wider range of data sources,” said Brendan Madden, Chief Executive Officer of Tom Sawyer Software. “In response to this demand, we have been working to fundamentally expand the Tom Sawyer Perspectives architecture to enable us to rapidly introduce exciting new capabilities to quickly address this demand. Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 3.0, is another major step in helping organizations maximize the value of their data assets.”

Tom Sawyer Perspectives is an advanced graphics-based software for building enterprise-class data visualization and social network analysis applications. It is a complete Software Development Kit, purpose-built around a rule-based design methodology to enable developers to focus on business issues around visualization and analysis rather than data details. Tom Sawyer Perspectives enables teams to quickly develop applications without sacrificing performance or quality.
