Proton Rocket with GLONASS Satellites to be Launched
The launch will be carried out with the aim to add the satellites to the GLONASS global navigation system to ensure the continuity of the navigation signal on the global scale. According to the Central Scientific Research Machine-Building Institute, 27 satellites are in the orbital group as of November 3. Twenty three of them are used for the purpose, one is in the phase of joining to the system, two are put out of operation for technical maintenance, and one is in orbital reserve. Read More

NRSC to Set Up Data Station in Antarctica

Cadastral Survey of City Barangays to Help Clear Issues
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources(DENR) has launched a cadastral survey to delineate the political boundaries of each of the city’s 128 barangays, a project mayor Mauricio Domogan deems complicated within a 180-day time frame. The mayor rallied the city’s barangay officials to support the survey, particularly for the immediate settlement of border disputes, or else “ha’n nga mailippas dayta (the project won’t be finished).” Read More |
