Land surveys have proven a powerful maeans to both raise funds by certifying property, it has also resulted in fewer disputes by verifying land ownership. Ten villages in the recent survey generated Rs 2.33 lakh and also promise to reduce the illegal requisitioning of lands. District courts welcome this measure as 70 percent of cases deal with land requistion disputes.
