Aerial Survey Reveals Violation in Lalita Park

Investigators probing the Lalita Park house collapse in east Delhi have found an aerial survey of the building carried out in 2009 which showed the height of the collapsed building to be 20.46m, a clear violation of Master Plan 2021. According to the plan, the buildings in residential areas cannot have a height of more than 15 m.The aerial survey was carried out by Delhi State Spatial Data Infrastructure (DSSDI) as part of a project commissioned by Survey of India. This is the first documentary evidence into the mishap that left 71 people dead and several injured on November 15. Read More
