1Spatial Australia Launches FME Interactive Online Training

Safe Software’s FME empowers users to transform spatial data, with support for 325+ spatial and non-spatial formats, so it can be used and shared. 1Spatial, a Value Added Reseller of FME and the region’s only Platinum Partner of Safe Software, provides consulting services and training by Safe Certified Professionals and Trainers.

“This is the first interactive and online training for FME which covers the full course content whilst being delivered in a convenient time zone for Australia and the Asia Pacific region,” said Martin Gregory, General Manager for 1Spatial Asia Pacific. “The number of FME customer sites is constantly growing, with over 400 in Australia alone, but training can be expensive and time consuming when travel is involved. Now we can offer FME users a much more cost and time effective alternative to improve their skills.”

1Spatial’s FME Interactive Online Training courses will be held every month, beginning on 24 March 2015. FME Certified Trainers will be online to deliver the same high quality training instruction as classroom courses with the added convenience of attendees participating from their desks, wherever they may be.

The online courses run over two days with four hours of instructor led training, including audio and video streams, and four hours of practical exercises each day. The course covers the full content of 1Spatial’s classroom-based FME Desktop course, and includes:
·         A series of hands-on exercises from a training manual, sample data and access to the FME product via a virtual machine
·         The ability for attendees to ask and receive answers to questions about FME or how to apply it in their own situations via live chat or email
·         A formal certificate to participants who successfully complete the course.
