AeroMetric Hires Lawrence to Lead Mining and Landfill Markets

Lawrence said, “I am excited about the opportunity to expand AeroMetric’s business in the mining and landfill markets through on-target geospatial solutions. Our client-oriented approach will focus on providing high-value solutions leveraging the full range of AeroMetric’s capabilities. My goal will be to not only provide clients with mapping services, but also help them manage the data they use for both everyday operations and long-term decision making.”

Lawrence has extensive experience in leadership positions as an executive, consultant, technical director, and researcher in the areas of remote sensing, geophysics, and photogrammetry. Of particular relevance to AeroMetric’s clients would be his tenure at Intermap Technologies, an international company providing geospatial products and services. At Intermap, Lawrence initially served as vice president of the GeoTechnologies division where he managed the commercialization of the IFSAR production system. His career at Intermap also included successful assignments as vice president of customer care, senior vice president of strategic business, and senior vice president of operations. Additional accomplishments during his tenure included directing national 3D digital elevation mapping programs in the USA and all of Western Europe. These programs provided over 10 million km² of mapping, completed on time and within budget.

Lawrence, a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Canada, has numerous additional accomplishments. These include serving on the Board of Directors of the Geomatics Industry Association of Canada. He has written over 30 technical papers and publications.
