The European Space Agency (ESA) has devised a plan to safely crash its failed satellite, the European Remote Sensing 2 (ERS-2), back into Earth. Launched in April 1995, the ERS-2 operated in low Earth orbit until September 2011, successfully observing and gathering valuable data on various aspects of our planet. Read More at ISP
