NEW YORK CITY  — As aviation professionals navigate the ever-changing and rapidly evolving landscape of their industry, the arrival of Theodore Gargagliano as director of the national aviation practice at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, will ensure its clients have the resources and solutions they need to address the complex challenges they face.

As senior vice president, Gargagliano, with the support of the WSP aviation team, will collaborate with clients throughout the entire life cycle of a project, developing solutions that address their specific needs to modernize facilities for passengers and air cargo, preparing them for future growth in the industry.

“WSP understands the aviation market and where it is heading, and Theo is the ideal leader to guide our clients as they prepare for tremendous growth,” said Joseph Pulicare, WSP president of U.S. transportation. “His understanding of all facets of the aviation industry will be essential in bringing together WSP’s multiple resources to address today’s challenges and passenger expectations while developing long-lasting solutions for our clients.”

Gargagliano brings more than 18 years of experience in aviation infrastructure development, operations, market strategy and sales across multiple geographic regions. His experience includes airport infrastructure development including airside, landside and terminal facilities in both operating airports and greenfield environments, using both traditional and alternative delivery methods.

Prior to joining WSP, he served as national aviation vice president for an international architectural and engineering design firm. His project experience includes serving as project manager for the Terminal 1 program at San Francisco International Airport, project manager for the redevelopment program of Terminals C and D at LaGuardia Airport in New York, and project director for central plant and special systems for the construction of Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
