Double Appointment Boost for GeoSLAM

Leading geospatial solution provider, GeoSLAM has announced its latest senior appointments following sustained growth.

Darren Burford

Darren Burford joins GeoSLAM as chief revenue officer, bringing over 25 years’ experience in built environment industries, having led million dollar departments at global blue-chip companies.

Commenting on his appointment, Darren said: “GeoSLAM is a company that is on a clear journey. They are no longer seen as a niche technology provider, but a mainstream rival to traditional techniques of capturing built and natural environment data.

“I am looking forward to working closely with the team to build on the increasingly significant role that data plays across the industries we support – from how it’s captured, to the ways the resulting data can improve processes, increase the efficiency of businesses and make people’s jobs easier. There are so many opportunities for this technology to make its way into previously untouched industries, and I am confident in GeoSLAM’s ability and ambition to continue to deliver strong growth.”

Mack Koepke

Mack Koepke joins the GeoSLAM team as general manager and vice president of sales in the Americas.

Bringing over 13 years’ experience in sales leadership, Mack’s most recent role was in the remote sensing industry, bringing satellite imaging technologies to the Americas, Middle East and African regions.

Reflecting on his new role, Mack said: “I’m thrilled to have joined such an inspirational and innovative team of experts, particularly at a crucial time for the geospatial industry in the United States. The interest in geospatial technology, and its capabilities, has rapidly increased in recent years.

“For almost a decade, GeoSLAM has been demonstrating why it remains at the forefront of the industry – from attracting and promoting some of the brightest minds in the country, to developing and launching state-of-the-art devices that continue to shake up the industry. I’m excited to be a part of that timeline of success by investing in the North & South American market, through new resources in sales and technical, bringing GeoSLAM tech closer to our American customers.”

Using his knowledge of the international market, Mack will aim to replicate the culture of GeoSLAM in the UK overseas and cater to the growing interest in geospatial technology by helping to further establish the company’s US footprint.

Shelley Copsey, GeoSLAM CEO added: “Talented people are critical to the future of GeoSLAM, and so I’m really excited to see the contribution Darren and Mack are already bringing to the organisation from their significant experience within construction, engineering and data as a service respectively.

“The scale of opportunity ahead of us is huge, and the leadership team we’ve built over the last 12 months is stronger than ever. I’m eager to see just how we take the company to even bigger heights in the near future.”

The two appointments are part of GeoSLAM’s wider strategy for expansion, following its plans to recruit for a range of roles at its UK headquarters in Nottingham and around the globe.
