senseFly to Showcase Integrated Solutions at XPONENTIAL 2018

Cheseaux-Lausanne, Switzerland — senseFly, the leading provider of professional mapping drones and a commercial drone subsidiary of Parrot Group, will showcase its range of end-to-end products and services, as well as share information on a pioneering Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flight project, on May 1 at XPONENTIAL 2018 in Denver, Colorado.

Visitors to booth 3422 will have an opportunity to speak directly to senseFly’s team of experts and learn more about the company’s comprehensive 360 solutions, comprising globally-proven senseFly drones, advanced eMotion flight and data management software, as well as tailored, industry-focused image processing and analysis solutions from Pix4D and Airware. Designed to improve operational efficiencies and support decision-making, the solutions provide a complete, reliable package across the surveying, mining and quarries, agriculture and inspection sectors.

At the Government of Alberta booth (831), attendees can learn about a new pioneering BVLOS flight project that senseFly and IN•FLIGHT Data are leading. With a goal to be the first commercial group in Canada to legally fly BVLOS in unrestricted airspace, if awarded the opportunity, the team will use a senseFly eBee Plus professional mapping drone to complete off-range BVLOS flights for the project. As only one of four experimental projects supported by the government, it will enable Transport Canada to develop regulations that will allow further BVLOS operations to become open to the public.

In addition, senseFly Sales Manager and GIS scientist, Briton Voorhees, will deliver a presentation titled, “Comparing workflow and point cloud outputs of the Trimble SX10 TLS and senseFly eBee Plus drone”. The in-depth comparison will shed light on a key issue in remote sensing—whether photogrammetry- or LIDAR-derived point clouds are more effective, in terms of data accuracy, point density and noise. Voorhees will provide details from a recent assessment of the two industry leading survey instruments at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2 in room 203.

Finally, visitors can also explore how measuring and evaluating business investments can generate positive ROI, by attending a presentation called, “A World of Drone Benefits,” led by senseFly Sales Director and experienced surveyor, Brock Ryder. He will share real customer stories of geospatial professionals who have used senseFly solutions to achieve on-the-ground results. Attend his talk at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2 at the XPO Hall Solutions Theater.

“XPONENTIAL is a fantastic platform on which to showcase senseFly’s 360 solutions—from flight planning to expert data analysis—enabling geospatial professionals to gather integrated insights on their projects, to boost time and cost efficiencies, and improve on-site safety. Plus, by sharing real customer stories of senseFly operators across the world, we aim to highlight how we can help organizations achieve positive ROI across a number of different sectors,” says Gilles Labossière, CEO at senseFly.
