The annual International Symposium on GNSS has been an open forum for international researchers and practitioners — especially in the Asia Pacific region, to discuss most recent technologies and applications, to exchange innovative ideas and experiences, and to promote future research opportunities in the fields related to Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

Over the years, the symposium has been held in a number of attractive and tradition-rich locations, including Hong Kong, Istanbul, Jeju, Johor Bahru, Kyoto, Seoul, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Wuhan, and Xian (in alphabetical order). This year, for the first time, the symposium will take place in the historical city of Tainan from 5 to 7 December, 2016. As the oldest city in Taiwan, Tainan was the capital of Taiwan during imperial times, and has been famous for its temples, historical architectures, and delicious food.
