Buy 1 QGIS Course and Get 5 FREE

August 7, 2015 — Do you need to capture or update spatial data in the field? QGIS is a free and open source geographic information system, and Discover Spatial is hosting a new course that will take on how to set QGIS up for field use, and to make it as easy to use as possible.

The first part of the “QGIS for Field Work” course, by Thomas Fagernes, is now live. Everyone who signs up for part one of this course on Discover Spatial before 12 August 2015 will be given FREE access to all the other five parts of this course when they go live.

The first part of the course covers examples of use, and QGIS features for use in the field. The other parts of this course will be published later this year and include:

  • Configuring QGIS for field use
  • Creating shapefile and form
  • Creating a project
  • Capturing data and update
  • Data storage
