Agrowing Releases the World’s Best AI-Enabling Multispectral Sensor for Agricultural Surveys, with 14 Narrow Bands of 8 Megapixel per Band

Agrowing Ltd., a world leading provider of AI-Enabling multispectral sensors, announces the addition of the world’s best multispectral sensor to its line of sensors.

The sextuple-lens sensor acquires 14 narrow spectral bands of 10nm to 30nm bandwidth and 8 Megapixel per band, providing imagery of 1.7cm per pixel ground resolution from 100m altitude, and 0.5mm per pixel from 3m altitude.

Agrowing’s line of sensors is unique in its ability to acquire aligned multispectral data from both low and high altitudes.

The new 14 band sextuple lens of the sensor provides unprecedented 6 red bands from 650nm to 850nm, 4 green band and 4 blue ones. Agrowing’s US and EU patented sensor design utilizes Sony’s Alpha 7Riv modified full spectrum camera body, and its outstanding Full-Frame 61.2MP CMOS sensor, combined with high-end multi bandpass filters. The sensors avoids the crucial limitations of the state-of-the-art multi-camera sensors, by having low distortion 21.6mm focal depth optics of fixed F5.6, combined with the sensor’s superior dynamic range, single mechanical shutter, and innovative sub-pixel accurate continuous digital alignment of the spectral bands.

Growers need actionable data, which enables them to match the right spraying chemicals to the specific weeds found in a wheat or a sugarcane field. The new sensor enables it.”

Agrowing collaborates with academic institutes around the globe, like the Rochester Institute of Technology and UNESP (Sao Paulo), with the goal of enhancing its line of products and provide service providers with the best multispectral sensor for fast and accurate AI identification of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.

With it 4 blue bands from 405nm to 490nm and 4 green bands from 525nm to 570nm, the sensor present opportunities far beyond field crops, and is suitable also for marine agriculture and many other applications.
