Esri Publishes Study Guide for the ArcGIS Desktop Associate Exam

Redlands, California—Esri, the global leader in spatial analytics, today announced the publication of Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate Certification Study Guide for 10.5.

The guide is designed to help individuals prepare for the ArcGIS Desktop Associate exam. The exam, offered by the Esri Technical Certification Program, tests proficiency in working with ArcGIS applications, including ArcGIS Pro 1.4 and ArcMap 10.5, to visualize, manage, and analyze geospatial data. People who pass the exam achieve the certification, which recognizes their knowledge and skills using ArcGIS.

The study guide focuses on topics covered by the exam, including data management, editing, and visualization as well as geographic content sharing, spatial analysis, and geoprocessing. The book is meant to help exam takers identify gaps in their skills and refresh their knowledge, rather than prepare them for the specific questions that will be asked during the exam.

The print edition of the book includes access to a 180-day trial version of ArcGIS Desktop. E-books published by Esri do not include 180-day trial software, but free trial software is available at esri.com/arcgis/trial.

Brittney White, a senior instructor at Esri, wrote the study guide. In addition to teaching ArcGIS courses, she has supported the development of Esri technical certification exams and achieved the ArcGIS Desktop Professional, ArcGIS Desktop Associate, and ArcGIS Desktop Entry certifications.

Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate Certification Study Guide for 10.5is available in print (ISBN: 9781589485143, 150 pages, US$79.99) and as an e-book (ISBN: 9781589485150, 150 pages, US$79.99). Both editions can be obtained from most online retailers worldwide. The print edition is available for purchase at esri.com/esripress or by calling 1-800-447-9778.
