Matrox Graphics to Feature IP KVM & Quad 4K Enterprise Encoder at IBC 2017

(MONTREAL — Matrox Graphics will be on hand at IBC 2017 (Amsterdam, Sept. 15–19, stand 7.B29), demonstrating its latest in KVM and encoding products to address extension and AV-over-IP requirements for broadcast applications.

Both recently announced, the Extio 3 IP KVM extender, and the Maevex 6150 quad 4K enterprise encoder appliance will be on display, with Matrox Graphics product experts available to answer questions on the full lineup of multi-display, video wall, KVM, and networked encoding products.

Matrox Extio 3 – Quad-Output 4K IP KVM Extender

Extio 3 sets a new industry standard by securely extending a single 4Kp60 4:4:4 video signal—or four 1080p60 4:4:4 signals—along with keyboard, mouse, stereo audio and USB 2.0 over standard Gigabit Ethernet at unprecedentedly low bitrates.

Extio 3 IP KVM extenders deliver exceptional remote desktop performance and, when combined with standard GigE network switches, create a cost-effective over-IP extension and switching solution, allowing users to securely and instantly switch to any system on the KVM network. Designed to optimize collaboration, Extio 3 provides a secondary H.264 proxy video stream, compatible with H.264 software and hardware decoders, enabling users to view a selected desktop on mobile devices, record it to network-attached storage or display it on a video wall.

Matrox Maevex 6150 – Quad 4K Enterprise Encoder Appliance

The Maevex 6150 quad 4K enterprise encoder appliance is the first in the world to deliver quad 4K input capture and encode, supporting multiple streams (local or to the cloud) and recordings—simultaneously. Integrating seamlessly with standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet networks, Maevex 6150 delivers zero-latency pass-through for real-time management of audio/video content on up to four 4K displays.

Built on the open-standard H.264 codec, Maevex 6150 offers compatibility with all computers, devices, and networks, including the full range of Maevex Series products as well as third-party technologies. Supporting RTSP, RTMP and HLS streaming protocols, the Maevex 6150 quad encoder appliance can deliver an unlimited number of streams through a wide variety of third-party technologies such as streaming media servers, content delivery networks (CDNs), and others.

Matrox Video Products

Matrox Video Products Group will also be displaying their latest 4K, HD, and SD digital video hardware and software solutions, including video-aware broadcast IP cards, webcasting devices with Facebook and YouTube integration, lecture capture appliances and the full lineup of DSX developer products.
