Skyline Software Systems Releases SkylineGlobe Server 7.0

Herndon, VA – Skyline Software Systems Inc. announces the release of the all-new SkylineGlobe Server 7, a private cloud solution that provides a comprehensive set of web services for publishing, storing, managing and streaming 3D spatial data. Providing a unified, centralized server technology and management interface, Skyline customers can control and manage the complete 3D geospatial data life cycle with ease and confidence.

Users can directly publish 3D GIS data to all clients with the SkylineGlobe Server 7. Utilizing a streamlined workflow, GIS managers can optimize and publish complete as well as quick project updates directly to cloud servers. Data is immediately available to GIS users with Skyline’s TerraExplorer (TEP) products (including newly released TEP7 Pro, TEP7 Plus, TEP7 for Web and TEP7 for Mobile versions) as well as most industry standard and open source clients such as Cesium using WFS/WFS-T/WMS/WMTS/3D Tiles.

“The new SkylineGlobe Server v7 replaces Skyline’s TerraGate v6 and SFS v6 products, adding many new functions that provide an enhanced cloud solution,” stated Skyline’s President Robert Peters. “The server’s built-in complete user access control system allows easy management of users, groups and administrative roles controlling the server-side storage and client-side read/write permissions.”

The SkylineGlobe Server package also includes the TerraExplorer for Web v7 application, a lightweight 3D GIS viewer that enables the user to view high-resolution, stunningly realistic SkylineGlobe 3D content in a web browser, without any plug-ins.
