EIVA Launches New Generation of Survey Navigation and Positioning Solution

The fourth generation of NaviPac, the flagship of our NaviSuite software suite, is to be launched at Oceanology International 2016 on 15 March. Visitors at the EIVA stand will be able to get a demo by the company’s NaviSuite experts and try out the software themselves.

NaviPac 4 is the result of a major overhaul of the survey navigation and positioning software developed by EIVA. The new software generation introduces both new and improved features, making for an even more effective tool as part of the NaviSuite software suite for offshore survey and construction operations.

Continuous strong focus on product development

‘We have increased our investment in product development, as we believe the best way to support our customers during challenging times in the oil industry is by providing them with solutions that will render their operations more efficient both in terms of budget and man-hours in play,’ said EIVA CEO Jeppe Nielsen.
The strategic aim of all NaviSuite development activities sums up what the launch of NaviPac 4 offers users, as it allows them to:

Eliminate the number of solutions required to carry out survey and construction operations; Standardise their setup by using the same software for different types of operations; Simplify and automate the operation workflow to reduce operator time.

Building on existing cutting-edge technology for data visualisation and processing

NaviPac 4 brings visualisation and processing features from EIVA NaviModel, the NaviSuite solution for 4D modelling and visualisation. NaviModel has proven its worth as a valuable tool to many of the major operators in the offshore industry. By bringing these into play in NaviPac 4 as well, the solution takes a big step up in terms of technology, not least by offering a native, real-time 3D engine.
Other features in NaviPac 4 include:

  • New technology
  • New user interface
  • New configuration tool
  • New online eventing package
  • New LiDAR navigation capability
  • And an extensive list of other new and updated features

At the same time of the NaviPac 4 launch, we’ll also release new versions of the NaviScan, NaviEdit, NaviModel solutions as well as the Catenary module.

Stop by stand D500 at Oceanology International 2016 to celebrate the launch at a reception at 11 am on 15 March and to see and try NaviPac 4 in action. Visitors are welcome to bring their own data sets to play with.
