C-Nav Announces the Development of C-Mariner: An Integrated DGNSS / Inertial Positioning System

Honeywell, with over 25-years of experience as a leading provider of inertial systems to space and aviation markets, understands safety of life issues and the need for accurate and robust systems.  The Honeywell Laseref inertial sensor used in the C-Mariner is the same hardware trusted by airlines worldwide on thousands of flights daily.  The Laseref is designed to meet the strict safety requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration, so quality assurance and long-term support are given.

C-Nav, a world leader in the delivery of DGNSS correction services and the first to broadcast worldwide orbit clock correctors, is proud to be working with Honeywell as its partner of choice.  The C-Nav3050 is a 60 channel state-of-the-art GNSS receiver with sub-decimeter real time accuracy.  It is the perfect complement to the Honeywell Laseref inertial system resulting in a range of unique attributes including high-level QC data and a fault-tolerant design.

Both companies have contributed expertise in the system’s integration, as well as their combined well-established credibility for innovation.  “The past couple of years have been very interesting, with a lot of hard work on both sides to make this happen,” said Russell Morton Product Development Manager for C-Nav.  “Initial customer response has been excellent,” said Morton.

C-Mariner will be on display in C-Nav’s booth K355, the Oceanology International conference in London, March 13-15, 2012.  For more information, go to www.cnavgnss.com .
