Trimble Launches New Financial Management System for Small-business Contractors

Trimble Financials, a simplified accounting and job costing solution, now available as standalone subscription or within software packs for MEP, civil and general contractors

WESTMINSTER, Colo., July 20, 2026 — Trimble today announced the availability of Trimble Financials™ software in the United States. The new construction-specific financial management and job costing solution is designed to simplify accounting operations for small-business contractors. The software provides real-time visibility into project and overall company performance, enabling contractors to monitor profitability and make smarter business operational decisions.

“Contractors running small businesses don’t want to — and shouldn’t have to — become accounting pros,” said Jon Fingland, vice president at Trimble. “Trimble Financials is ideal for growing beyond financial management and analysis limitations of paper or spreadsheets and for businesses that may not need all of the features of more advanced, enterprise financial management platforms. The construction-specific capabilities of Trimble Financials also provide usability and job costing advantages over generic, off-the-shelf accounting options.”

Trimble Financials is purpose-built for business owners and companies without in-house accounting or bookkeeping expertise and with annual revenues around $10 million or less. The software helps contractors manage projects and financials from proposal through reporting and closeout. Users can quickly create project cost proposals, track expenses by job, phase and cost type, and streamline billing with customizable schedules and customer invoicing.

As work progresses, financial data from Trimble Financials can populate dashboards that provide a clear view of estimated versus actual costs and the overall status of business profitability in simplified, contractor-friendly formats. The data also flows automatically into financial statements formatted to help businesses address accounting requirements.

Additionally, built-in AI capabilities allow contractors to access support for the Trimble Financials application through real-language prompts.
Trimble Financials also integrates with Trimble solutions for estimating and performance tracking, including employee timekeeping. This connectivity can unify office, field, and financial operations in a cohesive industry ecosystem to reduce manual processes and improve real-time data sharing and visibility across critical construction workflows.

Availability: Standalone or within vertical-specific software packs

Trimble® Financials is now available in the United States as a standalone software subscription. Companies can also purchase the financial management solution as part of new Trimble software packs tailored for small mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), civil or general contractors.

Designed to streamline software adoption and field-to-office connectivity, each pack includes Trimble Financials, the Trimble ProjectSight® project management solution, the Trimble Connect® common data environment and vertical-specific Trimble solutions for estimating and performance tracking.

Trimble also provides industry-leading Trimble VistaTM and Spectrum® systems designed for the financial management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) requirements of larger construction businesses.
