Kodifly launches SpatialSense platform for project oversight

Kodifly has introduced SpatialSense, a new infrastructure management platform designed to support planning, monitoring and coordination across complex construction projects. The system brings together multi-sensor data – including Lidar, imagery and IoT feeds – into a single digital environment, enabling project teams to assess site conditions and track progress in real time.

SpatialSense allows users to visualize construction sites through detailed digital twins and to compare as-built conditions with design models. The platform automatically captures and processes updates from each project phase, providing construction managers with a comprehensive view of ongoing work. By centralizing information that is often scattered across multiple tools, SpatialSense aims to streamline oversight and improve the reliability of project data.

Automated progress tracking

A key feature of the platform is automated progress tracking, supported by 3D visualizations and analytics dashboards. These tools help identify issues such as structural deviations and equipment misuse at an early stage. Users can also generate reports directly from the platform, reducing the amount of manual documentation typically required on construction sites.

SpatialSense includes collaboration functions intended to improve communication between engineers, contractors and project owners. Stakeholders can review site data remotely, annotate digital models, assign tasks and comment on specific issues within the interface. According to Kodifly, this shared data environment is intended to reduce delays caused by fragmented communication and inconsistent reporting.

Turning raw point clouds into detailed 3D models

The platform’s digital twin capabilities rely on processing raw point clouds into detailed 3D models, allowing teams to measure site features, review conditions and plan upcoming work with greater accuracy. By offering the ability to analyze terrain, structures and progress from any location, SpatialSense is designed to support both on-site personnel and remote decision-makers.

Kodifly positions SpatialSense as a tool that can help organizations detect problems earlier in the construction cycle, reduce rework and maintain better control over project timelines and costs. Although the initial focus is on construction, the company notes that the platform may also be applied to other infrastructure-related monitoring tasks.

With the addition of SpatialSense to its product portfolio, Kodifly continues to expand its role in providing spatial data solutions for infrastructure management – combining sensor integration, automation and analytics to support data-driven decision-making across project lifecycles.
