PIX4Dcatch is an integral component of Topcon’s newest handheld scanning solution, the CR-H1, designed for accurate reality capture

Lausanne, April 15, 2025

Pix4D is a core technology collaborator in the newly launched CR-H1 handheld reality capture solution from Topcon Positioning Systems. Pix4D continues to advance its RTK-supported technologies with PIX4Dcatch, now offering compatibility with the latest GNSS receiver from Topcon Positioning Systems—the CR-H1. This collaboration reflects Pix4D’s commitment to supporting developments from its collaborators, delivering solutions that prioritize accuracy and precise georeferencing. The result is a compact tool for modern field workflows.

PIX4Dcatch runs on iPhone and iPad Pro devices with built-in LiDAR, which enhances data capture to create more accurate and detailed 3D models. Paired with Topcon’s new CR GNSS receiver, it records georeferenced data for high-precision results. The receiver and iPhone are secured to a custom mount, creating a lightweight, single-operator reality capture solution with survey-grade accuracy.

The CR-H1 is the first solution to emerge from the strategic collaboration between Topcon and Pix4D, initiated earlier this year. It highlights both companies’ shared focus on developing practical innovations that simplify accurate 3D data capture in the field.

“This is the first joint solution to come out of our collaboration with Topcon, and it marks a meaningful step toward making high-precision 3D data capture more accessible globally,” said Andrey Kleymenov, CEO at Pix4D. “By combining Topcon’s trusted GNSS hardware with PIX4Dcatch and our advanced data processing algorithms, we’re delivering a powerful, mobile solution for professionals in utilities, infrastructure, and construction.”

As part of the broader Pix4D ecosystem, the joint solution is compatible with Pix4D’s software suite, supporting a connected workflow from data capture to processing and analysis. This integration provides a compact and versatile option for professionals seeking an efficient field-to-finish solution.
