DARTdrones Launches Innovative ‘Intro to Drones’ Course for High School Students

Park City, UT – DARTdrones is thrilled to announce the launch of its new course, “Intro to Drones: Opportunities, Careers, and FAA Certification Readiness“, designed to introduce high school students to the exciting world of drones. This innovative program aims to engage young learners by exploring various career opportunities in the drone industry while preparing them for FAA certification.

Focusing on Drone Workforce Development

Not only does this program introduce students to the exciting world of drones, but it also trains educators to effectively teach the course, whether they have a background in aviation or not, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all.

For years, DARTdrones has been approached by teachers, college professors, and workforce development instructors seeking a way to bring drone training into their classrooms. Recognizing the challenge, DARTdrones set out to adapt its Part 107 Test Prep course—historically taught only by expert instructors with aviation backgrounds—into a program that educators without prior aviation experience could confidently deliver to their students.

After conducting extensive research into the future of the drone industry, the DARTdrones team identified a growing demand for professional drone pilots. In response, the team launched a comprehensive Workforce Development initiative. Through curriculum licensing for educators, connecting alumni and employers, reconsidering industry certifications, and qualifying for and helping build state certification programs, DARTdrones is paving the way for a new generation of skilled drone operators. This initiative represents the future of DARTdrones and our commitment to supporting the next wave of industry professionals.

DARTdrones invites educators and students to explore this groundbreaking course. For more information, please visit  https://www.dartdrones.com/drone-training-high-school-intro-to-drones-course/.
