IDS GeoRadar launches Chaser XR ground-penetrating radar

The new compact and lightweight ground-penetrating radar solution for subsurface profiling extends the power of revolutionary Equalised scrambled Technology to geophysical surveying.

(PISA, Italy) IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, today announced the launch of Chaser XR, a powerful ground-penetrating radar (GPR) solution that sets a new standard in subsurface investigation by featuring the most extended inspection range in a single device on the market. Leveraging IDS GeoRadar’s disruptive patented Equalised scrambled Technology (EsT), Chaser XR brings GPR performance to geophysical surveying and provides unprecedented resolution and penetration.

Chaser XR is a compact and lightweight GPR solution designed for maximum portability and ease of use. This versatile device combines the capabilities of multiple systems into one solution that can adapt to a wide range of surveying scenarios, including environmental assessments, archaeological investigations, or ice and snow assessments.

“Chaser XR operates for the maximum return on investment. This one-for-all device can cover the usual performance of multiple combined systems on the market.” says Matthias Twardzik, Director Hexagon Detection at Hexagon Geosystems’ Radar & Monitoring division. “Professionals are supported in their different surveying tasks by a unique GPR solution that exploits its extended inspection range and operating flexibility for a safer survey of the underground, outpacing the current solutions in use for geophysical surveying”.
