Open Spatial Announces the Release of Munsys 14.3: New Features and Compatibility with AutoCAD 2024

Sydney, Australia – – Open Spatial, a leading provider of geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the release of Munsys 14.3. This new version comes with significant updates and improvements, making it easier for users to capture, manage, and visualize fiber assets in their networks.

One of the most significant improvements is the compatibility with AutoCAD 2024, making it easier for users to integrate Munsys with their existing CAD workflows. Additionally, the new release allows for capturing fiber lengths, diameters, installation, and manufacture dates, which will help users better manage their cable assets within the network.

Another feature is the intelligent prompting that aids in the cable alignment capture process when defining the path of the cable installation within cable routes. This update ensures that the cable path is accurately captured and recorded, which is essential for the proper management and maintenance of the network.

Open Spatial also recognizes the growing interest in Digital Twin technology and has included the ability to export Munsys data to Cesium Markup Language (.czml). This enables visualization in 3D platforms that support the format, such as Digital Twin Victoria and Cesium ion. This exciting initiative will provide clients access to maximize the use of platforms, thus making Munsys 14.3 a vital tool for clients looking to create Digital Twins of their networks.

Furthermore, the user interface has been improved with the addition of login profiles. This addition makes it easier to switch between environments such as test and production, which will help users manage their workflows more efficiently.

“We are proud to announce the release of Munsys 14.3,” said Philip Nell, Operations Manager – Technical Services, at Open Spatial. “We believe these new features, especially the .czml export, will enhance the user experience by making it easier to visualise spatial data on 3D platforms. Munsys 14.3 is a testament to our commitment to provide the best-in-class geospatial solutions to our clients.”
