IDS GeoRadar launches Stream DP with new Equalised scrambled Technology (EsT)

Stream DP is the new compact GPR array solution introducing the ground-breaking EsT technology that brings GPR performance to the next level: the deepest one yet.

PISA, Italy (12 July 2022) — IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, today announced the launch of Stream DP, an innovation for 3D utility mapping that uses multi-channel ground penetrating radar (GPR). Stream DP with the patented EsT technology enables efficient and safe performance in underground utility detection and mapping. EsT equalises shallow and deep reflections with multi-gain boost which results in an extended dynamic range. Stream DP thus overcomes limitations of traditional GPR solutions, offering unmatched performance with the deepest sensing capability ever.

Pulse-per-second integration into Stream DP’s antenna supports precise synchronisation with GPS, ensuring users achieve the most accurate positioning data which is crucial for data alignment. Stream DP onboard software facilitates collaboration as it can collate data collected by different positioning solutions into one project for full and seamless coverage of the underground. The system integrates with the latest software solutions for data collection and post-processing: uMap, the on-field software for easy radar data collection that provides real-time diagnostic status and IQMaps, the postprocessing software for faster and smarter data analysis.

Stream DP is designed for superior productivity and ease of use, offering a light-weight structure for maximal transportability, hot-swap batteries for nonstop performance and multi-environment hardware configuration (rugged and asphalt) for unparalleled versatility.

“Stream DP with EsT technology can reach the deeper target and offer exceptional underground clarity output,” says Davide Pasculli, GPR system engineer at IDS GeoRadar. “Professionals are supported in their tasks by an innovative and highly manoeuvrable GPR array solution that enables a safer survey of the underground.
