Applanix Introduces New Term Licenses for POSPac MMS, POSPac UAV and New Subscription for POSPac PP-RTX for UAV to Lower Upfront Costs

Customers can access the latest software releases and features with the included maintenance and support

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA, Sept. 23, 2021—Applanix, a Trimble Company (NASDAQ: TRMB), announced today the introduction of new term licenses with full maintenance and support for its desktop post-processing software—POSPac™ Mobile Mapping Suite (POSPac™ MMS) and POSPac™ Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (POSPac™ UAV). In addition, a new subscription for POSPac™ PP-RTX for UAV is also available. These new licensing options lower the upfront investments required and enable customers to always have the newest features with updates included as part of the bundled maintenance and support.

The announcement was made at INTERGEO 2021, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.

“The new licensing options for POSPac MMS and POSPac UAV provide our customers with maximum flexibility for acquiring full access to our industry-leading post-processing solutions. The options offer lower upfront initial investments and provide customers with full access to future releases and 24/7 customer support, as part of the included maintenance in the license agreements,” said Joe Hutton, Applanix’s Director of Inertial Technology and Airborne Products.

The new POSPac PP-RTX for UAV subscription is available with varying term lengths to accommodate user requirements. POSPac PP-RTX enables quick and easy data processing without a base station. The correction data is available within minutes after mission completion and requires a single button click in POSPac to launch. Customers will be able to process up to 30 minutes of dynamic data from the UAV platform.

These new licensing options and subscriptions are available now through the Applanix global sales channels.

Applanix POSPac MMS and POSPac UAV
POSPac MMS is Applanix’s next-generation, industry-leading desktop software for Direct Georeferencing of mobile mapping sensors using GNSS and inertial technology. Optimized for all environments and platforms (air, land, and marine) and compatible with a variety of mapping sensors, this smart software solution achieves both maximum accuracy and maximum efficiency for Direct Georeferencing.

POSPac UAV is Applanix’s industry-leading differential GNSS-aided inertial post-processing desktop software for georeferencing data from the Trimble APX series of GNSS/inertial board sets flying on small UAVs. POSPac UAV turns a UAV into a low-cost, highly efficient, professional-grade mapping solution compatible with cameras, LiDAR and other mapping sensors.

Applanix POSPac PP-RTX for UAV
POSPac PP-RTX for UAV is a cloud-based solution providing centimeter-level post-processed positioning accuracy without the need to set up or maintain local base stations. Trimble CenterPoint® RTX™ correction service utilizes data from a dedicated global network of tracking stations to compute corrections to satellite orbit and clock information as well as atmospheric delay models. POSPac uses this data to post-process the GNSS-inertial trajectory as an alternative to the known SingleBase, SmartBase and Multi-SingleBase augmentation processing methods. POSPac PP-RTX is ideal for UAV mapping applications in remote regions such as in mountainous and forested areas where existing base stations are not present and setting up a base station can be difficult.
