Cadcorp launches GIS data management tool

Cadcorp SIS ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) is a data management tool that manages and controls the flow of data between files, databases and servers. The applications of this tool include streamlining spatial data management and providing concurrent data for a cloud or remote data service.

Supported data management operations include Copy, Upload, Export and Update and if used alongside Cadcorp GeognoSIS can include a restart of the service to ensure that new files are picked up.

The Upload function, for example, can be used to push data from any supported Cadcorp SIS supported vector format into a PostGIS database. This may even include files held in Microsoft SQL Server that need to be migrated to PostGIS.

Similarly, organisations may require GIS files for use in other business applications. In these circumstances, SIS ETL can be used to undertake regular scheduled exports from a PostGIS database to GIS files.

Cadcorp SIS ETL is the latest addition to a wide range of Cadcorp specialised vertical applications. For more information on Cadcorp SIS ETL, visit http://cdcp.io/etl.
