Hexagon’s Geospatial Division Launches Luciad V2019

Hexagon’s Geospatial Division, a world leader in high-performance geospatial solutions, launched Luciad V2019 today at HxGN LIVE 2019, Hexagon’s digital solutions conference.

With its Luciad Portfolio, Hexagon offers leading-edge platforms for situational awareness and real-time location intelligence. The 2019 release of the Luciad Portfolio aims to break down data silos to help organizations, cities, and countries better understand the connections that drive the modern world and influence the changes happening around them.

“Luciad V2019 will enable smart organizations, sites, cities, and nations to leverage cutting-edge location intelligence solutions for creating the connections needed to drive real-time decision making,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon’s Geospatial division. “A platform like this – that sits at the intersection of geospatial, operational, and visualization requirements – is critical for global organizations managing the deluge of IoT sensor data, which has to be visualized to empower operational and mission success.”

With direct support for JavaFX, the updated LuciadLightspeed platform empowers users to create dynamic user interfaces, while still leveraging full-performance GPU capabilities. Both LuciadLightspeed and LuciadFusion support OpenJDK as well as the latest Oracle Java virtual machines. Users can develop automated data services with the flexible RESTful API in the LuciadFusion server platform or develop their own custom-branded LuciadFusion Studio for easier and interactive data management.

The Luciad V2019 release also offers updated mobile and browser features for both LuciadMobile and LuciadRIA that support the latest needs in defense and aviation – from the dismounted soldier to cloud-based airspace planning – and the latest standards such as MS2525, MGCP and AIXM. This makes Luciad the only product portfolio in the industry that offers consistent symbology support throughout all its products.

The release will also include a new product called LuciadCPillar, which is Hexagon’s answer to the growing demand for a mission-critical desktop API for the C++/C# community.
