The Wild Releases Video Support and Sketch Annotation Tool

Portland, OR – Today, The Wild announced two new features for their cloud-based immersive collaboration platform. The Wild enables architecture and design teams to experience design together, in real time, from anywhere in the world. Now, these teams can ideate and collaborate on spatial design even more effectively with two new features—video support and a sketching tool for use in The Wild’s VR/AR platform.

Customers use The Wild to view and evaluate their existing designs, imported from SketchUp or Revit. In order to communicate more effectively about spatial concepts, The Wild’s Sketch tool allows users to mark up and sketch out ideas in VR. The Sketch tool enables them to express and capture ideas in a new way—by drawing them in 3D.

“The Wild is a place where people can communicate easily and naturally, and not be constrained and abstracted to fit on screens,” says Mischa Winkler, The Wild’s Product Manager. He adds, “Your ideas should be expressed in an environment native to the world we live in, and that’s why the Sketch tool works so well for architectural design reviews in The Wild.”

Also new in The Wild is support for video content, allowing architecture and design teams to create more dynamic spaces and evaluate their work more contextually. Video content helps to add depth and richness to a project, aiding team collaboration and decision-making.

Last month, The Wild released their Comment tool for feedback and annotation, which had been a top request from their user base of AEC professionals and environmental designers. Leaving spatial comments in context helps teams align on decisions and collaborate more effectively earlier in the design process when changing an idea is a lot faster and less expensive. With the addition of The Wild’s Sketch tool, teams can communicate more easily, iterate more efficiently, and get to confident decisions and approvals more quickly.

About The Wild
