IQGeo launches new products to reduce customer churn and accelerate construction for Communication Service Providers

Cambridge, UK – IQGeo (AIM:IQG), the world’s leading provider of geospatial productivity and collaboration software, is today announcing the launch of two new products. myWorld Construction Manager and myWorld Operations Manager have been developed to help Communications Service Providers (CSPs) meet business-critical KPIs for MTTR, customer satisfaction and time-to-market.

IQGeo worked closely with leading cable and telecom operators across North America to develop these new products in order to address their specific challenges in effectively tracking and managing field construction and maintenance projects. Leveraging IQGeo’s ‘mobile first’ design principle, the two new products are simple to use and available on any mobile device for field staff and contractors, working online or offline.

Construction Manager enables CSPs to control construction projects from end-to-end, keeping all stakeholders informed of project progress and ticket status displayed in a friendly, intuitive map-based view. It identifies which tickets put budget and timelines at risk; accelerating construction projects and time-to-market, while lowering construction program costs and reducing rework and go-backs.

Operations Manager integrates, simplifies and correlates all relevant operational information into a single map-based view, improving dispatch efficiency and decision making. Telemetry, alarms and customer billing data is integrated with detailed asset maps and a ticketing system that is available from the field technician’s device. It enables network operations to become more proactive and less reactive, reducing truck rolls, MTTR and repeat trouble calls to minimize customer churn.

Both new products are built on IQGeo’s proven myWorld mobile geospatial platform that aggregates and validates data in a simple map-based view, delivering powerful insights anywhere, on any device. Unlike legacy systems with traditional centralized models, the myWorld platform is mobile, distributed and flexible. It’s built specifically for large scale integration with multiple geospatial and corporate business data sources.

Peter Batty, CTO at IQGeo, said: “The future is all about updating network asset data immediately as work happens in the field, using increasingly automated technology. Companies are spending too much time and money working around technology that fails to deliver results, and actually increases operational risk, because they can’t effectively manage field operations and construction because of inflexible, disconnected systems.

“Our new Construction Manager and Operations Manager products are built to meet today’s mobile field requirements and are designed to put our customers in control of their critical operations and construction processes. Our product roadmap is focused on developing solutions that help our utility and telecom customers maximize the potential of exciting new mobile and geospatial technology and deliver strong ROIs back to their organisations.”
