Jibestream Introduces Map Profiles Among New Indoor Mapping and Navigation Features

TORONTO – Jibestream, the premier mapping platform provider, announced today the release of powerful new features to their indoor geospatial platform that enhances developers’ abilities to create smart indoor experiences. This release introduces support for multiple map profiles, destination proximity services, an Outlook Plugin for Office 365, single sign-on authentication and more.

“We are passionate about technology and innovation and our indoor mapping platform reflects this,” said Chris Wiegand, CEO and co-founder of Jibestream. “Not only can organizations create exemplar solutions leveraging the Jibestream platform, they are future proofing their investment with an extensible and versatile platform designed to evolve with the market.”

Map Profiles enable administrators to cater to different users with permission-based profiles while managing a single map instance in the Jibestream content management system. This industry-first innovation enables the creation of customized experiences by displaying or restricting access to different map views. Profiles ensure users only see parts of a map for which they are given proper permissions and can be used to differentiate between public routes, staff-only routes, emergency routes, accessibility routes, detours and the like.

With destination proximity services, Jibestream combines situational awareness with map data to fuel powerful location analytics. This feature empowers organizations to connect with mobile consumers by delivering real-time targeted messages based on where they are and what destinations are nearby. The resulting data intelligence can be leveraged to gain insights into user patterns and to build exceptional user experiences.

Other cornerstones of this release include an Outlook Plugin for Office 365 which creates more agile and collaborative spaces with enhanced room booking and search capabilities, simplified password management with single sign-on authentication through Google and support for open standard map format GeoJSON.

Jibestream is the go-to leader in the indoor mapping space and is used to enhance user experiences and improve business processes by granting visual access to accurate geospatial data. More information on Jibestream is available at www.jibestream.com.
