LISTECH Releases New Upgrade for Geospatial Software Neo

(MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, 28 November 2017) – LISTECH, a world leader in development of smart software solutions for the surveying, civil engineering and land related information industries, today announced the latest version of its geospatial software LISTECH Neo. The updated geospatial software now offers Least Squares adjustment of measurements for traverse and network frameworks, and supports Singapore cadastral survey submissions and GDA2020 coordinate systems and transformations.

The latest Neo upgrade includes a new Least Squares traverse adjustment option to allow any number of traverses to be created, individually named and adjusted. Additional enhancements to Neo include in-place editing of point names, reflectors, field parties in the measurements view, improved process reporting, and an option that allows pre-processing of the measurements. The ability to create traverses from total station measurements includes an option to automatically trace a traverse by intelligently examining the measurements to find links between the instrument setups.

A new Adjust module allows total station measurements to be adjusted by Least Squares as a network of observations, providing users more flexibility without the strict rules imposed by traditional traversing methodology. With the option to perform a minimally constrained Least Squares network adjustment, users can evaluate the integrity of their measurements without the influence of existing control – assisting in identifying problems with the measurements.

Enhancements to quick display options for point name, layer and vertex height labels in the model view allows users to easily display commonly needed information. To assist with modelling complex attribute data, support for a new Group attribute type enables users to create attribute hierarchies in a Neo project to easily manage related attributes. A new method to create lines parallel to other lines, with numerous options for calculating the heights of the vertices on the resulting lines, provides a powerful linear design tool for a multitude of applications.

SG Cadastral module for Singapore cadastral survey submissions

The introduction of the SG Cadastral module to Neo allows registered surveyors in Singapore to create SG LandXML files for land lot submissions to the Singapore Land Authority’s new Cadastral Survey Management System. Surveying professionals can import existing parent lots in legacy SG P.O. Lots format and the new SG LandXML format, create new lots, attribute objects as needed for submission, import and process field measurements and export files in the new SG LandXML format.

Rich data exchange with other systems

Further enhancing Neo’s already rich data exchange with other systems, improvements have been made to the existing support for AutoCAD, MicroStation, buildingSMART IFC and 12D ASCII. With the added support for the AutoCAD 2018 file format, Neo’s hi-fidelity exchange with other systems continues to improve with every release.

“With Australia’s move to the new GDA2020 datum, it is essential that Neo provides support for the new coordinate systems and transformations to make migration to the new datum as simple as possible”, said Darren Bennett, LISTECH Neo product manager.
