The first of the maps allows you to explore the world’s largest library of gravity and magnetic data coverage through a series of easy to use tools and displays. Using Esri’s ArcGIS Online technology visitors to the Getech website can zoom to their area of interest and discover what gravity and magnetic data is available and at what resolution.
The tools provided give you control over what data is displayed and allow you to select the perfect base map for your requirements.
The second interactive ArcGIS Online map goes one step further and allows you to search through Getech’s Regional Reports that provide geological insight into specific areas of interest.
Clicking on this map will provide report locations that show the structural interpretation, geodynamics, palaeodrainage and petroleum prospectivity amongst other valuable information.
Chris Jepps, Products Director of the Getech Group, explained more about how and why the maps were created: “Using ArcGIS Online from Esri, we were able to quickly create interactive and responsive map applications that work across multiple devices, so that our customers can search for our data and knowledge anywhere, at any time and on any device. Embedding these maps on the Getech website has made it even easier for our customers to see where in the world we have data that can help de-risk their petroleum exploration and other natural resources projects.”
