Luciad’s New Cloud Server Product Puts Geospatial Data in The Hands of End Users

Leuven, Belgium – Luciad, a world leader in high performance geospatial applications, is proud to announce its new V2017 product suite aimed at users of geospatial data.

The new product suite is a series of applications that will allow end users to analyze any stream of time-based geospatial data without any programming knowledge. With V2017, users can create a high performance geospatial application straight out of the box.

Luciad recognized that the internet of things (IoT) is fast becoming the “internet of everything,” with more and more devices connecting to the internet and transmitting data. This evolution presents two obstacles: more data and many more users and consumers of data.

Luciad’s new cloud server product provides a solution to these obstacles, allowing users to connect to the increasing number of data sources and making that data available to end users.

It gives users a new way to connect to any source of data, whether the data sets are stored in files, databases, streamed in real time or available through web services. In just a few clicks, users can connect to their different data sources and publish new data products or web services.

“These powerful new features give the ever-growing number of users an easy access to critical business data that would otherwise remain locked into specialized data silos,” said Luciad’s CTO Frank Suykens.

Luciad’s V2017 product release also includes compliance with OGC’s newest standards across the entire product suite, significant performance gains for visualizing extremely large vector data sets and enhanced styling of entire map layers.
