SAN FRANCISCO –, developers of CrateDB, a leading open source SQL database for real time analytics of IoT and machine data, today announced the availability of CrateDB 2.0 in both open source and enterprise versions. The newest version of CrateDB features clustering upgrades and a number of SQL improvements, along with Enterprise Edition features including authentication and authorization for enhanced security, new performance monitoring tools and support for user-defined query functions to enable more advanced in-database analytics.

CrateDB, which was made generally available in December 2016, has been downloaded more than 1.3 million times.
