Blue Marble Releases Mobile Friendly Version of the GeoCalc Geodetic Registry

Hallowell, Maine  – Blue Marble Geographics ( www.bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce the immediate availability of an update to the GeoCalc Geodetic Registry, the company’s online coordinate geometry repository. Version 2.0 of the Registry introduces a new mobile friendly interface along with more flexible login requirements, and a new Getting Started Guide.

Blue Marble’s GIS software is used by hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers throughout the world who need affordable, user-friendly, yet powerful GIS solutions. Users come from a wide range of industries including software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government departments and academic institutions.

For over two decades, Geographic Calculator has been universally regarded as the leading coordinate and datum management software. The foundation of the software’s geodetic data processing functionality is the GeoCalc datasource, the foremost collection of coordinate system definitions, transformation algorithms, and other geodetic parameters. The online GeoCalc Geodetic Registry ( www.geocalconline.com) is a web-hosted version of this datasource. Users can search the registry for any parameter they may need anywhere in the world using text, numeric, or map interface search tools. Definitions can be exported to GML or Well Known Text providing a powerful spatial data quality assurance tool for GIS managers, surveyors, and geodesists.

“The GeoCalc Geodetic Registry is the first iteration of GeoCalc in the cloud,” stated Blue Marble’s President, Patrick Cunningham. “We are committed to expanding the reach, flexibility, and use of our software tools and we hope this new mobile version of the Registry will provide more flexibility for Geographic Calculator users.”
