SPH Engineering Announces UgCS Mapper – Offline In-Field Mapping Software

UgCS Mapper is a desktop geo-referenced image processing software, to create 2D maps in-field, requiring no internet connection. UgCS Mapper will be presented at AUVSI Xponential 2017.

UgCS Mapper is a desktop software designed to create offline 2D maps. In-field assembled map provides certainty for UAV surveyors that acquired images quality and density is sufficient for data processing. This information is crucial to decide whether the flight should be repeated before leaving surveying area.

Another feasible value of UgCS Mapper is for drone missions, that has to be flown in places with insufficient quality of publicly available map. Shortly after the first flight a more detailed map of the surrounding can be created for more precise planning.

“Data import, flight planning and control are features that characterises UgCS. Adding data processing software UgCS Mapper to our portfolio, brings UgCS one step closer to a complete ground control and mapping platform for UAV professionals. For our customers UgCS Mapper will provide significant insight to acquired data quality on site – this will save time and ensure better result – a PRO solution for PRO’s!”, said Janis Kuze, Sales Director at SPH Engineering.

UgCS Mapper will be presented at the AUVSI Xponential 2017 booth 1825. Public release of UgCS Mapper alpha version is planned by the end of second quarter this year.
