SITECO Partners with Pavemetrics Inc., Launching Pave-Scanner, the First Infrastructure and Pavement Inspection System

Bologna, Italy – SITECO Infomatica SRL  has completed integration of the  Pavemetrics vision system technology product lines onto the SITECO Road-Scanner hardware and software platforms. This partnership has made available the first commercially available true 360 degree infrastructure and pavement surface inspection system. This new Laser Automated Road Analyzer system, called the PAVE-Scanner, is already deployed and in use in the EU.

SITECO brings it’s  iRAP  Accreditation Specification for the RAP-SR-2.3 Star Rating  and ISO 9001-Vision 2000 certifications to join with  Pavemetric’s NCAT certified AASHTO R56 compliant high speed profile sensors. The technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the entire hardware implementation and software workflow, providing the first available turnkey system. It is easily configured with the latest lidar sensors from FARO, Riegl, Velodyne, Zoller + Froelich (Z+F), among others. A wide variety of imaging cameras, ranging from the popular Point Grey LadyBug 5 to multiple discrete specialty cameras, are also a key part of the entire package.

“There has never been a commercially available mobile mapping system bringing all the benefits of the rigorous certifications to pavement inspection industry.” says Augusto Burchi, SITECO’s CEO. “This new Road-Scanner system development will greatly simplify the collection of qualified data according to internationally respected standards, reducing the time consuming testing work that survey service providers undergo today. The net result will be seen in cost savings over time.”
