TerraColor Australia and New Zealand Landsat 8 Mosaics Released

Earthstar Geographics LLC (San Diego, CA, USA) announced the release of their new TerraColor NextGen 15-meter resolution Landsat 8 satellite image mosaics covering Australia and New Zealand. The products are seamless mosaics of pan-sharpened true color Landsat 8 satellite images from the 2014-2016 time frame that have been carefully processed to provide high quality color and contrast with less than 1% cloud cover.

“We are pleased to add these important regions to our TerraColor NextGen product line for clients needing up-to-date medium resolution satellite image base maps,” said Eric Augenstein of Earthstar Geographics. “The Great Barrier Reef is an integral part of the character of the Australian continent, and we have made sure it is represented nearly cloud-free in its entirety.”

TerraColor NextGen products provide consistent, regional satellite views in true color for a wide variety of mapping applications, and make a perfect complement to high resolution imagery. All NextGen products include an ocean mask with blue ocean fill to provide a clean, ready-to-use base map. The imagery can be purchased by tiles, individual countries, or large regional areas, and is suitable for mapping at scales of 1:60,000 and higher.
