Summary – Japan-Indonesia Workshop on Disaster Management of Water Resources

In these seminars, the Indonesian government under the high interest, and supervision and inspection and supervision of projects bid for contract work related to disaster management of water resources. There has been a lively debate, with further bilateral cooperation strengthened and the construction of water facilities and highways were able to deepen their understanding of Indonesia’s skill and experience relating to their management. Based on these results, and looking toward the future, we will promote the further cooperation with Indonesia and will continue to encourage our companies to expand overseas. 

At the beginning of the workshop, Director-General of Water Resources from Amron, said that water is becoming an increasingly important issue due to population growth and industrial development, and because of references to Japanese technology and experience for this workshop.  Mr. Sato followed by responding to the increased water-related risks due to climate change as an important policy issue, measures for flood risk management and water resources management in Japan, anti-aging and redevelopment of hope that the skills and experience to help Tere Organization concerning water resources. It was also as an opportunity to hold a workshop, meet each other greetings and hope that the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries is increased.

– In the workshop approach was introduced in both countries from the Indonesian side, with water resources management in Indonesia, in Jakarta flood, etc. were described water-related disaster response measures.
– The Japanese side is committed to water resources management integrated and sustainable use of groundwater in Japan and flood risk management work on a combination of structural measures and measures the hard level of prevention, effective facility management of water resources and dams has been described and operations management, and redevelopment.
– The announcement of these measures to resolve issues relating to disaster management water resources faced by the two countries and on specific measures in each country.
