Open Cosmos appoints new Chief People Officer as company enters next phase of growth

Appointment strengthens Open Cosmos’ leadership team as the company scales its global Earth observation and connectivity capabilities.

Open Cosmos, has appointed Natasha Dillon as Chief People Officer, to lead the people strategy that will underpin its expansion as one of Europe’s fastest growing space technology companies.

Dillon joined Open Cosmos in September, bringing close to three decades of international experience in people strategy, organisational transformation and value creation. In her new role, she will lead the company’s people function as it continues to scale at pace, helping to attract, develop and retain the talent needed to deliver on its objectives.

The appointment comes as Open Cosmos accelerates its international growth, backed by a recent €300 million funding round and its announcement of plans for the 192-satellite constellation, ConnectedCosmos. The company’s mission is to understand and connect the world through space, combining satellite data, communications infrastructure and advanced analytics to support better decision-making and address challenges on Earth.

As Chief People Officer, Dillon will help create the people structures, leadership capability and ways of working needed to support sustainable growth, while working to preserve the culture, agility and ambition that have defined Open Cosmos since its foundation in 2015. She will work across geographies and functions to ensure teams are aligned and supported as the company scales.
