More than 100 new users join the platform every day, driven by demand for AI-powered geospatial intelligence

Asterra, Pipe View America and InfraTrace among organisations to adopt GIS Cloud as reach expands across 60+ countries and 30+ industries
Zagreb, Croatia; 30th September 2026:
GIS Cloud, the online mapping technology scaleup, today announces that it has doubled its user growth, as its AI capabilities enable organisations to expand access to geospatial data without increasing reliance on specialist GIS teams.
More than 100 new users are now joining GIS Cloud every day through organic channels alone, taking its total reach to more than 220,000 users across 30+ industries and 60+ countries, with more than two million maps created to date. The growth reflects demand for broader access to geospatial intelligence across increasingly complex workflows.
Broadening access to geospatial technology
To support this demand, the company has launched
GIS Cloud AI, enabling users to work with maps and spatial data using plain-language prompts. It has also developed an MCP server and connectors for ChatGPT and Claude, bringing geospatial data directly into the AI tools users already work with.
More than 50,000 interactions have already been recorded through the GIS Cloud AI assistant. Its
AI Form Fill capability, for example, enables field teams to complete forms in seconds rather than minutes, reducing time spent on manual data entry.
Dino Ravnic, co-founder and CEO at GIS Cloud, commented: “Many organisations run on location data, but for decades using it meant going through a small group of specialists and desktop tools. AI has removed that bottleneck. People can now ask questions of their maps and data in plain language and get answers in seconds, which is why more than a hundred new users are arriving every day.
We see GIS Cloud AI as a universal multiplier: a layer that can sit on top of any existing GIS deployment, from the incumbents to newer vendors, and open up location data to entire organisations and their stakeholders with an ease that simply wasn’t possible before.”
Expanding enterprise and public sector reach
GIS Cloud’s growth is also extending across larger organisations, with global customers including
ASTERRA,
Pipe View America and
InfraTrace using the platform across increasingly complex workflows.
ASTERRA, for example, has adopted GIS Cloud to connect satellite-based intelligence with action on the ground, helping utilities detect and verify underground water leaks and reduce water loss. Its U-Collect mobile application, powered by GIS Cloud, enables partners and utility crews to verify and record leaks in the field, with deployments from Brazil to the Philippines.
GIS Cloud is also expanding its reach into the UK public sector following its selection for the
G-Cloud 15 framework, while ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certification provide further assurance for enterprise and public-sector deployments.
With more than 100 new users joining every day, GIS Cloud is now focused on extending its AI capabilities and growing its presence across the UK, US and Australia.

About GIS Cloud
GIS Cloud is an AI-native cloud GIS platform that brings mapping and field data together in one place. Founded in 2010, GIS Cloud built the world’s first online GIS, making it possible for teams to collect, share and work with spatial data in real time, without relying on specialist desktop software.
Designed for both cloud and on-premises deployment, GIS Cloud combines mapping and data collection with AI-powered capabilities that let users create maps, build forms and analyse data using plain language. Today, more than 220,000 users across 60+ countries use GIS Cloud to collect, manage, map, analyse and share spatial data across more than 30 industries, from government and utilities to engineering, construction, telecommunications, forestry and non-profits.
Trusted by organisations globally, including Transgrid, AECOM and PipeView, GIS Cloud is ISO/IEC 27001 and Cyber Essentials certified. GIS Cloud continues to expand the role of AI in GIS, helping organisations make better use of location data and bring spatial insight to more people beyond specialist GIS teams.
