EuroGeographics is expanding opportunities for knowledge exchange, cooperation and joint initiatives with the launch of a formal framework for international collaboration.
The Association is opening its network to the global geospatial community by introducing a new Observer Member category, creating opportunities to share expertise, contribute different perspectives and tackle common challenges. The initiative builds on EuroGeographics’ long-standing commitment to collaboration and its role in bringing together expertise to unlock the full potential of geospatial information for the public good.
Sallie Payne Snell, Secretary General and Executive Director, EuroGeographics, said: “Geospatial information has a vital role to play in addressing global challenges, but its greatest impact comes when we work together. That’s why EuroGeographics and its members are committed to joint approaches and building capacity across the geospatial community.
“Observer Membership formalises these connections, giving organisations the opportunity to be part of our unique association of national mapping, cadastral and land registration authorities. By bringing new perspectives, Observer Members can strengthen collaboration, develop partnerships and create joint approaches that turn shared challenges into shared solutions.”
Observer Membership is open to non-European national mapping and cadastral authorities, international organisations, academic institutions and commercial companies with relevant interests, providing opportunities to engage with the not-for-profit Association and its members.
