Quantum Systems Upgrades RELIANT Long-Range UAS for Enhanced ISR and Mission Performance

Quantum Systems has announced major upgrades to the Quantum Systems RELIANT UAS, expanding the capabilities of its long-range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. The enhancements increase payload capacity, broaden mission flexibility and maintain the platform’s compact logistical footprint.

According to the company, the latest generation of RELIANT supports a wider range of payloads while remaining easy to deploy and operate.

Quantum Systems RELIANT UAS Adds Payload Capacity

The upgraded RELIANT features a hybrid-electric power unit and now supports payloads weighing up to 9 kilograms.

Quantum Systems said the increased capacity enables the platform to carry a broader range of mission equipment, including:

  • Electro-optical sensors
  • Laser target designators
  • Synthetic aperture radar (SAR)
  • Signals intelligence (SIGINT) payloads
  • Electronic warfare payloads
  • SATCOM equipment
  • Relay payloads
  • Other mission-specific systems

The company said these enhancements significantly expand the aircraft’s operational flexibility for long-range ISR missions.

Long-Range UAS Maintains Compact Deployment

Despite the expanded payload capability, Quantum Systems said RELIANT retains the features that characterize its existing platforms.

According to the company, the aircraft supports:

  • Packaging for easy transport
  • Assembly by a two-person team
  • Operation by a single operator
  • Vertical takeoff and landing capability
  • A required launch and recovery area of only 10 × 10 meters
  • Ship-based operations
  • Independence from runway infrastructure

The hybrid-electric VTOL design allows deployment without dedicated launch or recovery facilities.

RELIANT Integrates with MOSAIC UXS Platform

The Quantum Systems RELIANT UAS is fully integrated into the company’s MOSAIC UXS software platform.

Quantum Systems said the integration enables interoperability with other unmanned systems during multi-domain operations.

The company also provides:

  • Operator workstations
  • Training
  • Sustainment services
  • Lifecycle support

According to Quantum Systems, RELIANT is delivered as a complete long-range unmanned capability rather than as a standalone aircraft.

Completes Quantum Systems Family of Aerial Systems

Quantum Systems said RELIANT completes its Family of Aerial Systems alongside:

  • Twister short-range platform
  • Vector AI mid-range platform

The company stated that its unmanned aircraft systems are already in service with NATO and allied armed forces, including the German Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

RELIANT is also built using a secure European supply chain and is produced without Chinese components or ITAR restrictions.

“Reliant’s upgrades are the result of continuous feedback from military users and partners, and our answer to enhance long-range capabilities for NATO, Europe and our allies,” said Martin Karkour, Chief Revenue Officer at Quantum Systems. “We can now offer a truly unique capability, with a minimal logistical footprint, payload superpower and impressive range and endurance – completely built on a resilient supply chain. We are very proud of that.”

The upgraded Quantum Systems RELIANT UAS expands the platform’s payload options and mission capabilities while maintaining the deployability and operational flexibility required for long-range ISR missions.
