TRC EXPANDS GEOSPATIAL PRACTICE WITH NEW LEADERSHIP

Three Appointments Deepen TRC’s Enterprise GIS and Digital Transformation Expertise

WINDSOR, Conn. – July 7, 2026 – TRC Companies, Inc. (TRC), a global professional services firm and member of WSP providing integrated strategy, consulting, engineering and applied technologies, has strengthened its Geospatial Solutions practice with the addition of two senior leaders and the promotion of a long-time employee. Together, these leaders will expand the team’s expertise as utilities increasingly rely on enterprise GIS to drive digital transformation and infrastructure modernization.

Shaylene Caffey joins TRC as Director of Geospatial Delivery and Corrie Underwood joins as Geospatial Technical Director. Additionally, Caitlin Kuhn has been promoted to Data Engineering Manager. Together with Jill Bricker, Director of North American Geospatial Solutions, these leaders bring complementary expertise spanning geospatial strategy, enterprise delivery, technical architecture and data engineering. Their collective experience strengthens TRC’s ability to help clients navigate complex modernization initiatives and deliver long-term business value.

“Utilities are taking on increasingly complex modernization initiatives that require connected technology, experienced leadership and a clear strategy,” said Bricker. “Enterprise GIS has become a critical part of that transformation by connecting operational technologies, enterprise systems and asset intelligence. Our role is helping clients adapt to that change with practical, integrated approaches that create long-term value.”

Caffey brings more than 23 years of experience leading enterprise geospatial, software delivery and digital transformation programs. Her work at GeoNexus and Baker Hughes included building multidisciplinary delivery organizations and guiding complex modernization initiatives. She brings extensive experience delivering large-scale geospatial transformation programs for utility clients.

Underwood brings extensive experience in enterprise architecture, ArcGIS Utility Network, systems integration and utility asset management. Her background includes leadership positions with Consumers Energy and UDC, where she guided enterprise GIS modernization while aligning technology, operations and business objectives. Her experience further expands TRC’s technical leadership in enterprise GIS, systems integration and utility modernization.

Kuhn joined TRC through the acquisition of Locana and has since established herself as a technical leader in enterprise GIS modernization and ArcGIS Utility Network implementations for clients including Duke Energy, NiSource, Spire Energy and Citizens Energy Group. A past president of Women in GIS, she brings specialized expertise in enterprise GIS architecture and geospatial data engineering.
