Spaceflux Raises £9 Million To Expand Space Intelligence Globally

London-based space intelligence company Spaceflux has raised £3.5 million in an extension to its seed round, bringing total funding to £9 million which will accelerate global expansion.

The extension was led by existing investor Blackfinch Ventures with a major follow-on, alongside continued participation from Foresight Group and the UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund (managed by Future Planet Capital), a government-backed fund supported by partners including the UK Space Agency and the Ministry of Defence. The round also marks the entry of Tokyo-based firm SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd with investment from their Space Frontiers Fund II. SPARX becomes Spaceflux’s first international institutional investor, establishing the company’s footprint in the Japanese market.

The new capital will supercharge growth of the company’s AI-powered space intelligence products including Pattern of Life analytics, on top of Spaceflux’s Cortex platform, to scale sovereign and operational deployments for allied governments. The Japanese investment from SPARX’s Space Frontiers Fund II emphasises Spaceflux’s continued global reach and trust by allied governments as demand rises for sovereign space intelligence capabilities.

The funding follows a series of major contract wins for the company. Spaceflux recently secured all three multi-year UK Government space surveillance and tracking contracts under the National Space Operations Centre framework, cementing its role in delivering sovereign orbital intelligence for the UK across multiple orbital regimes. The company was also selected by MDA Space to support Canada’s national Surveillance of Space 2 programme, demonstrating growing international adoption of its AI-driven space intelligence capabilities. Spaceflux is also a participant in NATO DIANA  and recently demonstrated exceptional cislunar tracking capabilities in collaboration with UK Space Command and the UK Space Agency during the Artemis II mission.
