Burkhard Boeckem, CTO of Hexagon, to Deliver Keynote at Geo Week 2026

Presentation on precision and intelligence to explore the next era of geospatial innovation

Portland, Maine – USA, November 4, 2025 – Organizers of Geo Week, the premier conference and trade show for geospatial and mapping professionals, have announced that Burkhard Boeckem, Chief Technology Officer at Hexagon, will deliver a keynote address titled Precision and Intelligence: Powering the Next Era of Geospatial Innovation on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 9:00–10:00am MST. Geo Week takes February 16–18, 2026, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO.

In an increasingly connected, data-driven world, the fusion of precision measurement and intelligent systems is redefining how physical environments are designed, built, and managed. In this highly anticipated keynote, Boeckem will explore how geospatial intelligence, powered by precision data and amplified by AI, is driving innovation across infrastructure, construction, urban planning, and environmental monitoring.

“Geo Week brings together the pioneers shaping the future of geospatial innovation, and I’m excited to join this year’s conversation,” said Burkhard Boeckem, CTO, Hexagon. “I’m looking forward to sharing how the convergence of precision data, AI, and autonomy is transforming how we understand and interact with our physical world, turning vision into operational reality.”

Attendees will gain insight into how cutting-edge technologies that leverage autonomous reality capture, robotics, sensor fusion, and intelligent edge computing are creating dynamic digital ecosystems where the physical and digital seamlessly inform each other in real time.

The session will highlight how transformative capabilities, including precision mapping at any scale, autonomous workflows, and digital twins powered by spatial intelligence, have moved from aspirational concepts to operational realities. Boeckem will also offer a strategic glimpse into the future that highlights how geospatial precision and intelligence will pave the way for engineers, surveyors, city planners, and innovators.

Boeckem was named Chief Technology Officer of Hexagon in 2020 after serving as CTO of Hexagon Geosystems since 2015, overseeing technology, innovation, and product development across all Geosystems business units. As CTO, Boeckem leads the development of autonomous technology solutions that are shaping the next era of geospatial intelligence. Read Boeckem’s full biography here.
