(September 3, 2025) – Arkisys™, a provider of on-orbit services on long-duration platforms for post launch applications, today announced the appointment of Charity Weeden, former NASA associate administrator for Technology, Policy, and Strategy, to its Board of Directors. Weeden brings deep expertise in both policy and business elements of in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM), having led initiatives that have supported growth of the orbital services market. Her appointment comes as Arkisys prepares for major expansion announcements and positions the company to accelerate its transition from proven technology developer to commercial market leader.

Weeden served as NASA’s associate administrator for the Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy from 2023 to 2025, where she provided strategic guidance on technology investments that shape space operations. Previously, as vice president of global space policy and government relations at Astroscale U.S., she built global policy foundations that supported the establishment of an in-orbit services market sector. Her career also includes senior policy roles at the Satellite Industry Association and 23 years of operational experience in the Royal Canadian Air Force, including space surveillance and mission-critical systems.
